“enjoy it” Mitch asks, and Morrie answers with:
“Yes. After all, I get to be a baby one more time”
“Do you take care of others or take care of your inner child?. Traditional values or are they useless?. Success or simplicity?”
-Morrie
“Morrie lost his battle. Someone was now wiping his behind”
-Mitch
“Looking back makes you competitive. And, age is not a competitive issue”
-Morrie
“These were people so hungry for love that they were accepting substitutes. They were embracing material things and expecting a sort of hug back”
-Morrie
“When you’re in bed, you’re dead”

“Love is how you stay alive”

“Love each other or perish”

“People are only mean when they’re threatened, and that’s what our culture does”

“If my life were squeezed into such a thimble, I doubt I could make it smell any better”

“If we saw each other as more alike, we might be very eager to join in one big human family in this world”

“although he did not mean it this way, I couldn’t help but think of a condemned man being asked for his final words”

“I’m bargaining with Him up there now.I’m asking Him, ‘Do I get to be one of the angels?’ ” It was the first time Morrie admitted talking to God.
“these things I so regret in my life. Pride. Vanity. Why do we do the things we do?”
