Bloody Hell!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

How the hell am I suppose to shop when 5 men have absolutely nothing to do except getting as much close as possible, and annoy the hell out of me while I check out a cool jacket or an elegant skirt? I’ll tell you the answer, I can not, I’ll just flee that is if I didn’t decide not to enter the shop upon seeing the sales persons who are looking at me in anticipation even before they see me heading towards their shop.

Anyways…

So I watched Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire with my brother (who initially wanted to watch Saw 2) right after I came from work, I’m actually exhausted and too sleepy (I might fall asleep on the keyboard any minute) but I thought I’d blog something for the sake of all my loyal readers outhere since I haven’t been as active in the last week (fine, so I’m afraid to lose the very few readers who have stumbled upon my blog by mistake, and hope to read something interesting once in a while :-p ). The movie was more than great, I just loved it so much that the 4/5 Naseem gave for it sounded much less than it deserves. And to my surprise, I laughed a lot.

I have a confession to make though, I have never read any of Harry Potter’s books and only watched the first part of the movie.

  2. That’s one thing that confused me about the Middle East. Ususally, guys give women so much space: so why is it that so many of the sales clerks in women’s clothing stores are men? I REALLY don’t want to buy my clothes from a guy!

  3. lol, you might wanna start doing your shopping online. Can you do that in UAE?

Don’t worry, you’re not the only who hasn’t read the books :D

  4. Nas, la khala9 I’ll stop taking your movie reviews seriously :p I think I’ll read the book too, if it’s not boring.

Rebecca, lol they hire young men who look disturbingly “handsome” if you know what I mean to attract female customers, I have no idea what kind of female customers though. In some cases they’re just young men who really really have got nothing else to do!
Luckily its not like that everywhere, only in the streets and shopping malls :D

Hamzeh, I wish I can shop online! I’m not fond of shopping at all. Those sales persons are so annoying that I, on many occassions, find myself telling them “yee 3alaina” in a loud voice so that maybe he’ll hear that and leave me alone.

It happens a lot that I leave the shop even though I like the clothes right after the sales persons make the first move :D

  5. SC, that is why I will NEVER shop for a bra in Jordan. It must be some guy thinking a handsome shab will lure me in. Like Rebecca, I prefer a female.

SC, do read the HP books! Really good. It may keep you from blogging for a couple days though.

  7. never read the books, but I love the movies! I want to take my daughter, but saw the preview and it looked….scary! (and we saw the preview while watching The Corpse Bride…which is far from scary and very sweet!)

  8. thecutter, how old is your angel?

I don’t know, it wasn’t scary but then I’m 21 :D I know my 14 year old sister would have loved it.

corpse bride was romantic for me, but it can be watched by kids too.

  9. SC darling, my girl is 8, and since she likes things that are a little more delicate! It took her about ten viewings of the spiders in one of those Harry Potter movies to stop “suddenly” deciding she needed to go to the bathroom, but it wasn’t necessary for me to put on pause, in fact, just keep on watching it mamma….

    kids!
